ThesisA Society is improved when people communicate.Basic IdeaThe Basic Idea behind I'M NOT TALKING TO YOU - YOU'RE NOT TALKING TO ME is simple:- You should meet each other - You should communicate Take a new roadSomeone has to take a new road, in order to meet people, that they don't usually meet. In that way, people that normally never communicate, suddenly communicate. With whom should you communicateIt's best to communicate with- People you haven't previously communicated with. - People, that there otherwise wasn't any immediate likelihood, you would communicate with. Three StepsStep 1: Poster with the purpose of making people reflect about the most basic foundation of communication: That someone communicates.Step 2: Tour around the country, to places where the two writers haven't been before. On the tour, they must help the people they meet write some good texts. Step 3: The best texts are printed in a book (In Danish). Practical InformationWhen you arrive at the site of one of the events, there will be various materials to use as a starting point in the writing process. The two writers will be there, with good advice and help for those who wants it. Everybody is asked to bring writing accessories, and things that might inspire themselves or others to write; this can be newspapers, small statuettes, a volume of an encyclopedia, a flower, a toy car, whatever - only imagination sets the limit. Everybody is welcome - people with a good deal of writing experience and people that normally never writes; The most important thing is that those who turn up, want to be in the space that is constructed around the writing process.PurposeTo write literature contributes to the reality of the writer as well as the reader.Further PerspectivesHopefully, this Project will not stand alone. I'M NOT TALKING TO YOU - YOU'RE NOT TALKING TO ME, focuses on getting people to meet around the process of writing, you could imagine similar projects, where the communication involved photography, food recipes, music, painting, etc.FundingDanish Art FoundationContactIf you have questions, thoughts or suggestions for, I'm not talking to you - You're not talking to me, please write to: talk@sternbergs.dkFor the Press and other interested People- Poster with the text: I'm not talking to you You're not talking to me.
